Position: Cleaning Supervisor

Job description

• The candidate will be required to receive payment for specialized cleaning jobs.
• The candidate will be required to inspect sites.
• The candidate will be required to inspect a number of facilities.
• The candidate will be required to ensure that safety and cleanliness standards are followed.
• The candidate will be required to establish work schedules.
• The candidate will be required to co-ordinate work activities with other departments.
• The candidate will be required to assist cleaners in performing duties.
• The candidate will be required to supervise the workers.
• The candidate will be required to co-ordinate activities of workers.
• The candidate will be required to recommend maintenance services.
• The candidate will be required to arrange for additional maintenance services.
• The candidate will be required to prepare budget and cost estimates.
• The candidate will be required to hire and train staff.
• The candidate will be required to arrange for training of cleaning staff.
• The candidate will be required to supervise Specialized cleaners.
• The candidate will be required to onlook Light duty cleaners.
• The candidate will be required to keep a note of the janitors, the caretakers and the building superintendents.
• The work site environment will either be wet or damp with a lot of odor or quite hot and dusty.
• The candidate will usually be required to work in an office building.
• The candidate may be required to work in a commercial facility.
• The candidate will be required to work in a cleaning service company.

Requirements

• The candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• The candidate should have equivalent experience in the concerned field.
• The candidate should have an experience of at least 1 year to less than 2 years.
• The candidate should have their own safety equipment and gear.
• The candidate should have Steel-toed safety boots.
• The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks.
• The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
• The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
• The candidate should pay attention to detail.
• The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
• The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
• The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
• The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and hence should be comfortable with it.
• The candidate should have excellent oral communication.
• The candidate should show flexibility.
• The candidate should have clarity of judgement.
• The candidate should be a team player.
• The candidate should be focused on the clients.
• The candidate should be organized.
• The candidate should show initiative.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• Should know English or French.
